When Terry Patters was told she had only several months to live, she said quietly, "That's not long enough." She passed away from Melanoma on August 8, 2010. Among many things, Terry enjoyed being with her family and friends and enjoyed playing golf at Poppy Ridge Golf Course.
This year, family and friends are hosting the 4th Annual Terry Patters Memorial Golf Tournament benefiting Melanoma Research in honor of Terry's memory and to raise funds to fight melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer.
"Skin cancer is a private disease. The tournament is not a private event", says Dave Patters, Sr., Terry's husband of 36 years. "Terry was a fun gal. We want everyone to come out and feel welcome". This has been the tournament's motto for 4 years now and we are proud to continue the tradition so please come join us for a day you will cherish and enjoy.
